Camiguin is always a good option for a weekend get-away because this is the nearest island in Cagayan de Oro. Aside from the very refreshing white island, the kids haven’t been here yet. So this is my Camiguin post for the second time around.
How to go to Camiguin Island from Cagayan de Oro:
Cagayan de Oro is the jump-off city nearest to Balingoan. Balingoan is the jump-off point going to Camiguin. For a more detailed post on how to go to Camiguin, click here.
Where to Stay:
This time we stayed in Paras Beach Resort. I was with my whole family with the kids so I wanted to stay in a family-oriented-surrounding kind of resort. So Paras is just so perfect!
The place is not so posh but not disappointing at all. It was a comfortable stay and besides the staff were friendly and accommodating so over-all rating is-satisfying.
They swimming pool opens til 10:oopm. They also have a resort bar, billiard area and a resto. We also avail of their white island package tour on a pump-boat which was good for 6 adults.
Transportation around Camiguin:
Upon arrival in Benoni Port in Camiguin, there are a lot of private/public transpo that will offer for a package tour around the island. It is up to you how you haggle on the prices. For us, we hired a multicab for a 2 days tour for P2,700.
Places to go:
Sunken Cemetery
Old Church Ruins
Cold Spring
Katibawasan Falls
Hot Spring
Should I recommend it with other tourist with family? Yes, definitely yes! Happy Travels.
